Dental implants are used as replacement tooth roots, allowing our team to securely place replacement teeth or a bridge in the area of concern. Implants are titanium posts placed beneath the gum line in the jawbone through a surgical procedure. Unlike a traditional denture, a dental implant will not come loose. This means you can enjoy a permanent restoration and eat, chew, and speak with confidence.
Dental implants are entirely safe, and once they are surgically attached, your gums immediately begin to heal. By the end of the healing process, your jawbone accepts the dental implant as a part of the body. Once your mouth has recovered, we then attach a metal post to the implant. This is the point of attachment where devices such as bridges, crowns, or dentures will be mounted.
